The Simon Communities
We donate a selection of household items to the Simon Community in helping their mission to “empower people to access and retain a home by providing housing, prevention, addiction treatment, emergency response and other targeted interventions, through advocacy and partnership”. These donations help those in housing support along with resource centres, finding a home for the wonderfully varied items of the Lidl middle aisle.
In April 2021, we announced that we would become the first major retailer in the world to offer free period products in stores nationwide to women and girls across the country affected by period poverty in partnership with Homeless Period Ireland and Simon Communities.
